Artist's Description
This is a summer painting of kids sitting on the sea wall in Marshfield, Massachusetts. They are anxiously waiting for tide to go out so they can go on the beach on a hot summer day. When the tide is in there is no beach and you have to walk on the sea wall which at times can be challenging. At night, the summer kids like to write their names on the wall to preserve their nice memories of days on this beach.

Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life. -- Congratulations on your recent sale of an amazing work!

This evokes childhood memories from the past.
Rita Brown replied:
Looks like the seawall may have come down this week in the Blizzard of 20115. Thank you.

Wonderful painting that would certainly preserve delightful childhood memories for any kid lucky enough to have had these experiences and that tells a great story to those who grew up elsewhere. My choice for DFM&N for March 27.
Rita Brown replied:
Thank you, Nikolyn, for your kind words and for DFM&N choice. Much appreciated. R
