This is a memory painting of kids gathering at lower Brigham's in Waltham, Massachusetts. At one time, Waltham had three Brigham's stores. This one was on Main Street and my friends and I referred to it as "Lower Brigham's" and the one up on Lexington Street as "Upper Brigham's". The third one was on River Street.

My Dad took me to this Brigham’s for the first time when I was 9 weeks old. I was teething, and Dad gave me my first taste of Vanilla, and the rest is history as the old saying goes.

Rita, this is the best! I went to that Brigham’s for the first time when I was 9 weeks old. My Dad brought me in the stroller and would feed me Vanilla Ice Cream. True story
