This is my bittersweet memory painting of the old Waltham Vocation High School once located on the corners of Church and Summer Streets. The building was errected back in the '50s and has since been torn down. It is now a plush green soccer field but leaves behind many wonderful memories of our hometown.
The girl who paints Waltham, Massachusetts. Rita Brown is the artist known for painting magical memories of her hometown aka "The Girl Who Paints Waltham". This wonderful collection of Waltham paintings was launched in 2007 and expands every year. This includes the beautiful old architecture of the Waltham churches, schools, city hall, museums, police and fire centers, shops, cemeteries and the famous Charles River. Of course, the Moody Street bridge and some of the landscape where the Muddy Charles runs through.
